My name is Helen and I am a pediatric dentist and mom to a 1 year old girl, Olivia. Currently, I work part-time in the Bay Area and volunteer as faculty at UCSF, where I created a dental desensitization clinic for kids with neurodevelopmental disorders (including autism spectrum disorder).
Navigating motherhood was not easy for me. But, those struggles are what gifted me the inspiration to start @the.dentistmom. I want to help guide parents through the challenges of baby teeth with my added perspective as a first time mom. I’m hoping I can empower parents with the knowledge to take care of their child’s oral health, and provide parents with the resources to make their lives just a little easier.
